'Taking textiles Further" at Missenden Abbey consists of three design workshops. These are intended to appeal to those students who are looking for ways to enhance their textile practise or who wish to extend their knowledge of design as it applies to textiles. These are taught weekends with a structured approach to design. This year's theme is 'Mark making' taking a different aspect on each weekend. The weekends are designed to be stand alone courses but they are interlinked for those wishing to attend all three.

Hello Janet, recently I have got your new book as a present. Very interesting and inspirational. I love the way you're working with materials and explaining how to work from the sketch to stitch. I like the structures and the way it becomes a 3D-form. At the moment I'm working with felt and I feel that all the experiments with the eco-dyeing which I just started will lead to some kind of 3D objects.
